Game Breakdown: TN Vols v Marshall

Marshall has had some great playmakers in the past like Chad Pennington & Randy Moss. It doesn't look like they've got anybody of that caliber on their team this year.

They've been hit hard with 2 losses on the raod and only 1 win over Hofstra, not a Division I-A school.

On the other hand, TN has whooped a top 10 Cal team, beat Air Force and barely missed a huge win over a good Florida team.

There's a good writeup on that game at SportsNetwork.com:
Quote:
Defensively, Marshall did all that it could to keep the game against Kansas State close, but the lack of support by Morris and the offense made things impossible...

For Tennessee to beat Florida last weekend, quarterback Erik Ainge had to play exceptionally well. That didn't happen, however, as he threw a pair of interceptions that figured prominently in the outcome....

...Tennessee surrendered 320 total yards to Florida last weekend...

...Expect the Vols to rally around Ainge after his poor performance a week ago. The home team will win this one easily.
They predict a 34-6 game.

Sound about right?

Re: Game Breakdown: TN Vols v Marshall

I think we will win but by how much I don't know. I will take just a win if Fulmer places more people in the game to get some game experience. We need to get more people in the game so they will be able to play if someone gets hurt.

Ainge didn't have a poor performance a week ago.
