i don't think it will be close ,al has a much better team than fl. fl. had to have a lot of help to beat ak. last week.the refs from that game were suspended. yes crompton played good against ga. but this is al.crompton will cost us at least 14 points.i do hope he does play good but al. defense is going to put a hurting on tn. just 38 yards rushing last year.there always hope in the sec. lane and monte may have tn ready to play but i think it will be another 2 years before al has to worry about tn.

close game but stupid mistakens by the offense , no field goal kicker so far crompton has only gave al 3 points so far. kiffin doesn't play to win he play not to lose to bad. its so sad to see the defense play so hard to see crompton and company screw up.

I only saw the last two quarters.
Bama almost lost this except for that kicker. When the ball goes into the defense's armpit, thats bad.

Crimson Tide dodged a bullet but to go undefeated you are going to get a tough game from a league opponent once in awhile that you don't expect. You just hope it doesn't happen too often or you will eventually get bit. For example Iowa, who has got to be the most lucky team so far this year but has won all those close games. Tennessee always has had a rock solid defense ever since I can remember with the exception of last year.

maybe we can get a girl soccer player to kick for tennessee she could do better i think or why not let the kicker/punter cunningham try. crompton is still costing us games the pick he throw turned out to be a field goal for alabama. maybe in a year or two every one will get on the same page at the same time.

I salute the Vols for a hard fought, smash mouth SEC game. As a Bama fan I was worried about this game before it started. It's good to see the Vols play with intensity and heart.

Sorry to throw cold water on the celebration but.... lets revisit history.
What was Monte Kiffen's most agonizing loss in the NFL when he was the defensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? A few years ago to the Carolina Panthers when a unheard of Defensive Lineman Kris Jenkins tore through the special teams to block two kicks including the extra point attempt that would have sent the game into overtime. This was the exact same script. By the way, that year the Panthers went on to the Superbowl. I am not suprised at the game given the history between these two squads. I just thought the NCAA would use some original thinking when fixing the game.

Just another note: Vern Lundquist it was the Alabama -Tennessee game Auburn was playing LSU. Why do they let him call the games? They would be much better served by using Eli Gold who has TV experience.
