The Vols are 2-0 heading into the UT vs Florida Gators game on Sept 16.

This will be the game that tells us alot about this TN football team. The opening game surprised alot of people with how we whooped a top 10 opponent. The 2nd game surprised alot of us with how we barely esacaped a huge upset.

So what does the Vols vs Gators game hold? Predictions? Expectations? Who's gonna be at the game? Any pregame rituals you guys hold for the Fl game?

The way Ainge and Leak are going, I expect lots and lots of passing - so whoever runs the ball better wins the game.

I for one have faith in my vols....though this game always scares the crap out of me. A big win against CAL and a struggle against AF. I think we'll put it out victorious...but at what cost? Fulmer is going to have to push the vols this week so they'll be ready for this saturday.

I like the fact that Air Force challenged the Vols. Maybe this will help the players keep things in perspective and send the message that they better bring their "A" game no matter who the opponent is.

Like I said in a previous post, the injuries the team suffered were disasterous. I hope Inky and Justin Harrell fully recover from their injuries. They are both lost for the season.

Supposedly both Fosters will be able to play this Saturday.

I hope and pray that the Vols were thinking of Florida and not Air Force. I really think that we will handle them by 10 points. I will just take a win though.

The Florida offense runs a type of option game( all be it that it is unproven in the SEC) but i think this fact will actually benefit the Vols since they just faced probably the best option team in the nation since the cornhuskers in the mid 90's. I think this fact leads the big orange to a small margin victory over the Gators

I really missed the AF game. I mean, I no longer have any idea what's about to happen Saturday. I just hope we're underdogs, not favored by 30 points!

For some reason I'm not to worried about Florida. I really think we are going to win the game. Georgia is a different thing. I'm really worried about them. I just think Florida is a win so mark it up!!!!

I of course think our Vols can pull out a big win at Neyland.

I think the biggest key for us is our young offensive line holding up. One for Ainge to give him the chance to make the plays he's been making for two weeks now, damn is he looking good or what?
two, for us to be able to establish the run.

I think our Defense will match up just fine, and feel that the O line holds the key this weekend.

Anybody very concerned about Justin Harrell and Inky Johnson being out for this game? The defense was awesome against Cal, struggled against Air Force. The loss of these 2 leaders sure doesn't help but how much does it hurt?

Well Saturday night is going to be kinda my Bachlor party on the strip. If we can find 2 or 3 FLA tickets for face value or close I will be able to watch the game if not I will be hitting O'Charleys and all the other sports bars. Maybe hit the clubs after the game is over.

let's get real. what is the optimism based on? we can hope to win. but to expect to is another thing. I, for one, am being realisitc and not putting myself in the position of a big let down - expecting a loss (again), hoping for a moral victory, but making tentative plans for after half-time.

We hope UT is coming back this year. Florida's star is definitely rising much faster - you just can't deny the talent level difference - not to mention the coaching : ( Our only savior is that Neyland will be rocking - that's what will keep us close for the moral victory.

I think everyone is missing the real important point here. And that is, Florida's Cheerleaders. Sure, they're UF's cheerleaders, but man, those girls are nice! Plus, they've got those blue garters that well, make me feel funnly like the rope climb in gym class...

Oh yeah, there's a game. It'll be close, then 2 quick scores at the end for a UT win 35-21. Yeap.

I think the key to the game will be how UT's defensive backfield will match up with the fast receivers from Fla. Icky Johnson's loss is bigger than people think.

It was just announced that Justin Harrell is not having any pain in his arm so he is going to play against the gators. I am not sure how effective he will be but his presence should help morale. His surgery is going to take place after this game so he will be lost for the year after this game no matter what happens against fla. I feel the vols will move the ball with a 60% pass to 40% run mix on offense. I am not so sure we can get the pressure on Leak that will be needed to neutralize the receivers for fla. One thing for sure as has been stated earlier, we will know what the vols are about after this game!
