| Titans Young may start; Volek may walk; Collins will play Titans rookie quarterback Vince Young is open to the possibility of trying something crazy if he scores a touchdown on Friday in Green Bay. He didn't rule out doing the Lambeau Leap, a move usually reserved for Packers. "I might,'' Young said with a smile. "Just to play.'' There are many possibilities for the Titans heading into the preseason finale, particularly at quarterback Young could get his first NFL start, a disgruntled Billy Volek might not even make the trip to Wisconsin, and Kerry Collins will make his debut for his new team Volek, who started the first three preseason games, saw his work with the first-team offense limited again on Wednesday. With increased uncertainty surrounding his status, there are indications he may not see action Friday even if he travels with the team. Volek asked to be traded not long after Collins signed with the Titans on Monday, and is being shopped around the league. Volek said he had no comment based on advice from his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. The agent also declined comment Wednesday. FFLiveWire: Fantasy Football News, Community, Stats and much more... gonna be a long year in Titan Town and how would Packer fans react to a Young Leap ?

Volek would be stupid to look for a trade because as much as it frightens the hell out of me that he is likely to be the Titans starter this season, if he does go to another team he WILL be a backup, no question about it, Volek does not have the ability to step up and be a starter for an NFL team, that may be the reason why Fisher has brought it Collins, to add a better vetran to the roster. i mean dont get me wrong over the past few seasons when Billy has been called upon to play in McNairs absense hes played well for a backup, but i dont think he will ever be a starter. he reminds me of a Jamie Martin sort of player, i listened to an interview he did last season and Martin said he was cool with being a great backup instead of a questionable starter and i think that Volek has to understand that he may only have been bred as an NFL backup QB. if i were to deal with the Titans QB situation now i would have "1. Volek 2. Young and 3. Collins" then no matter how the first 2 QB's have played up until, say, game 5, i would switch Volek and Young round. all this crap about having Young as the third string QB for a season is ridiculous because you dont get NFL playing expreience riding the bench, all putting Young as a thrid stringer this season would do is delay having to work him into the team next season. i think they should throw him in the deep end as soon as possible, just like we did with Pacman, and see how he swims |
