| Is Best of Vince Young already History? Have we already seen the best Vince Young has to offer? Is it possible that he has nothing left to give? On NFL Access Solomon Wilcox and the others suggested that it was true. They said all the biggest and best plays made by Young were on his legs, and that Vince will not learn how to become a reliable passer. Think about all the big plays he has made. The game in Detroit for instance. And what stands out in your mind from the Rose Bowl? Vince's running plays. Agree? or not?

| Re: Is Best of Vince Young already History? That's a tough call. I feel like we haven't seen the best of Vince Young already, but I'll agree that his best plays were with his legs. But that was when he was thrown into the starting role prematurely and now he's watched a lot more football from the sidelines and I think he'll have more weapons around him next time he gets to play (Johnson, Washington, even Gage appears to have improved a lot more than when Young was starting, plus possibly another proven receiver). I wouldn't count him out yet, he's the kind of QB that can buy himself time if he needs to...and thinking about some of the most memorable plays as of late (ie. Manning's crazy scrambling in the Super Bowl...what started that? Manning's ability to avoid oncoming defenders) so no we haven't seen the best of Young yet in my opinion. |

| Re: Is Best of Vince Young already History? Yes a lot of big plays that you do remember of Vince is him running, but I also see him playing differently in the second half then first half. It was like he is team focused during the first alf and if it isn't going good, he turns it on and would take off running more and take over games in the second half. I also remember against the Broncos on Monday night he played just about perfect, throwing the balls in the right spots but his WRs kept letting him down. I remember a perfect throw to Brandon Jones and he goes up half ass and doesn't catch it because a safety was near him. I think it was a mixure with a young (age not name) QB, a very plan pocket passing O Cord, and the worse WRs in the NFL. |

| Re: Is Best of Vince Young already History? Well yeah it does look like Collins will be the starter, although I can't imagine them not wanting to see what Young can do before his contract runs out in 2010 so depending on how their season goes I would imagine they will throw him in for a game or two. And I agree with tntitans21399, his receiving core was weak...and a questionable offensive coordinator in Chow...Heimerdinger had said that he was going to use Young differently and that he had some plays designed specifically for Young. I would assume some run plays and I think he would be very effective with play action type plays...I think that gets Young in the game when he breaks out and goes for a run, gets that first hit out of the way after getting positive yards...and yes I remember that Broncos game and he played great...another year on the bench won't do him harm as long as he realizes that its so he can learn, ideally I think he takes the starting job next season (not this coming one) and Kerry mentors him for that season, but who knows what'll happen really |
