Will Vince Young come out of the gates quicker than the Falcon's Michael Vick?

Is 10 days if training camp enought to get a feel for Vince Young as an NFL quarterback? I don't think so.

Big writeup in the USA Today on Vince Young's progress or lack thereof.

Young's training camp so far has been a mixed bag.

Hardly a practice goes by without an amazing play. But hardly a practice goes by without an interception or mishandled snap.

Several players are quoted as saying nice things about him but what would you expect? Albert Haynesworth is not gonna say that they screwed up and wasted a 1st round draft pick so whats the point of even asking?

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about Vince Young for the Titans. He'll be exciting to watch, I just hope that he doesn't hurt more than he helps.

Obviously, it'll take time to develop him. A QB like Young or Michael Vick is definitely, equally prone both jaw-dropping plays and brain-dead miscues. The key, obviously, is working with the QB to minimize the mistakes while still allowing the quarterback to be an athlete and make those big gains any way he can. Hopefully Tennessee does a better job doing that than Atlanta has ever done with Vick.
