Any ideas of who the Titans might draft?

Any ideas of who the Titans might draft?
I've herd people say the Titans will most likely draft a DE named Micheal Johnson from Georgia.

Re: Any ideas of who the Titans might draft?

Of course the main person/ position they really need to upgrade and improve is really the WR spot, but we have drafted 3 WRs one year, 3 the next year, and what 1-2 last season, so the past 3 drafts we have drafted what 8 WRs and so far none of them have taken the #1 spot. I think so far Brandon Jones and Chris Davis are great slot WRs, but no #1s in the group. I don't think draft anoth 3 WRs is going to do it since the WRs in the draft are a lot like what we have.

Like P. Harvin is a great player but he is basically Chris Johnson, and we need a deep threat to make the safeties stay back and not come up in the box. We need look at some free agents, Really Chad Johnson (possible), T.J, and Boldin could be out there or none of them are.

I think a CB could be a good pickup because Harper is getting up there in age and we can groom the CB for 1-2 years and not have to throw him in there.

A DT, if we don't sign Albert, but if we do then I think we can just look for players to add depth.

Re: Any ideas of who the Titans might draft?

For as long as i have been a Titans fan i have always tried to guess who or what we will draft...and every year i have been wrong, depending on who we lose will most likely depend on who we draft because i think that at the stage we are now as a team, we don't really need anyone else to come in

Some of their picks were a little questionable at times, but even you must have gotten the year we drafted VY because we needed a QB badly, and also the year we drafted Pacman because we needed a CB badly.

This year it is again the same as last year with WR, but their really isn't any great WR in free agency (ones that will be be 100% free agent), and it isn't a great WR core in the draft this year. Maybe they will look for a trade, which I doubt, or look for a player that is cut by other teams.

no what i meant was, i didn't know who we would draft specifically, i mean when we drafted Vince we could have taken him, Leinart or Cutler

As for this year i think we could take a WR in the first round but past years have shown that taking a receiver in the first round isn't always the best thing, so maybe we should leave it to free agency or a later round

If I were a Titans fan. I wouldn't be too concerned with the draft. It is a late pick anyway so I wouldn't expect the player too make a big impact this upcoming season. The Titans look like a team ready to give the Super Bowl another run.

1st or last pick, every player drafted has a chance to make an impact

examples:
Calvin Lowry, 2006, 4th Round, 102nd, Penn State

Vincent Fuller, 2005, 4th Round, 108th, Virginia Tech

Vince Young, 2006, 1st Round, 3rd, Texas

Bo Scaife, 2005, 6th Round, 179th, Texas

Michael Roos, 2005, 2nd Round, 41st, Eastern Washington

Michael Griffin, 2007, 1st Round, 19th, Texas

David Stewart, 2005, 4th Round, 113th, Mississippi State

LenDale White, 2006, 2nd Round, 45th, USC

Chris Johnson, 2008, 1st Round, 24th, East Carolina

Cortland Finnegan, 2006, 7th Round, 225th, Samford

All of these are the titans top 10 picks since 2005, and only 3 of them were drafted higher than 30th(Titans pick 30th in the draft). With this being said the Titans can easily pick a player who can come in and make an impact.

Focus on offense, your Defense is great. Your running game is good so that leaves the passing. Draft a QB and WR

The Titans need nothing but good.. young recievers. they have none. The defense is fire.. the running game is fire.. focus on the passing game

We do need a WR right now, but the QB position is the least needed for the Titans.

so you wouldn't trade Vince to go up the draft and get someone like Tim Tebow?

Tim Tebow would be TERRIBLE!!! in the NFL. Linebackers would disect him week after week. His "plays" that he did in college wouldnt even last a practice in the NFL. thats what hes good at

Tim Tebow would get molested in the NFL by people like Polomalu and Lewis and Urlacher and the rest of the crew.
