This is the draft that is going to get us over the hump

Believe me when I say this. This draft has the Titans' drafting a lot of players w/first round grade at key positions. If we can reestablish our running game, whether it's George, Brown or who ever.. and keep the production we still have, I guarantee we get over the hump.

I agree!! The O line has to step up a bit. They need to protect McNair, and make some holes for the running game. I predict George will return another year....I just have that gutt feeling..

How soon, though?

I'll agree that the Titans drafted very well. 13 very smart selections at positions of need. The only question is, will these guys develop quickly enough to fill the holes, which are sizeable? Replacing two very good starters on the defensive line with second- and third-round picks is a gamble, regardless of how talented LaBoy, Odom, and Starks are. And on offense, can Ben Troupe replace the venerable Frank Wycheck as a clutch receiver?
Perhaps instead of adding depth for the future across the board, which the Titans certainly did, they should have drafted for the present, added a couple of good defensive lineman, trade for a veteran tight end, and make a run for the title. This team has been so close for so long. Maybe it's time to take advantage of the present talent at skill positions before they move on.
