Titans vs Ravens

The Ravens will be swooping in to Tennessee next weekend to play against the Titans in what promises to be a battle of the defenses with 2 of the best locking horns at LP Field.

The Titans have had 2 weeks to prepare for the game and players such as Kevin Mawae, Albert Haynesworth and Kyle Vanden Bosch, will be grateful for the rest after coming off minor injuries.

The Ravens romped the Dolphins and will be looking to go in to the game with that momentum, but will be coming up against the leagues best running game, one of the leagues best defenses and no doubt a packed out LP field.

I feel this will be a game for the ages and if anyone is watching with young children looking to be defensive players in the NFL, tell them to take notes, because this will be a game of 2 of the leagues best defenses playing like there is no tomorrow.

Re: Titans vs Ravens

Yeah this is going to be a classic match up. Hopefully all the titans players are healthy and bring their A game. I think the play of kerry collins will decide the game.

Re: Titans vs Ravens

I love the Titans in this game, the Ravens D look worn down towards the end of the Miami game and now they are now a short week against a team who has been resting for 3 weeks counting the Colts game that they didn't show up for. So I expect it to be a physical pounding for 3 quarters, the Ravens D will get worn out and Chris Johnson will break a big one to put the Titans over the top. So as long as Kerry Collins doesn't do anything stupid and try to throw a deep ball on Ed Reed. So I will take the Titans 19-10

Re: Titans vs Ravens

What a rip off of a game.

And another black eye for the officials. How do you not make that delay of game call????

Stunning.

I hope we get a bit more scoring tonight, and a lot less penalties.

Sloppy game, and undisciplined for the Titans.

A game that neither team deserved to win.

Looks like Lendale White should have been practicing holding on to the ball instead of stomping on the Pittsburgh terrible towel a couple weeks ago.

Re: Titans vs Ravens

What a great game, very tough, great game. But like I said, it would come down to who makes less mistakes, and Ravens made a lot less mistakes, plus the Titans really missed Chris Johnson

Re: Titans vs Ravens

would love to say that there were a million reasons why we didn't win the game but there were only a few:

1. Ball security...
2. Penalties...i mean getting a few offside here and there is understandable but all the personal fouls we got were just ridiculous
3. Losing CJ cost us BIG!
4. THAT call in the 4th when time had expired...i just have no words to describe it

Re: Titans vs Ravens

I have no idea what everybody is talking about, with the no delay of game penalty. The TV announcers said 3 seconds, then they said let's play it back in real time. I counted one one thousand when the clock got to 0, and I got as far as one one th. So that's about 1/2 a second. Not 2 or 3.

that was easily a delay of game call that should have been called.and the biggest reason the titans lost in this one was not that call anyways it was

1.johnson not finishing the game(he had 100 yards in the first half)

2.missed fg(game would have changed completely bcus the ravens wouldnt have any momentum left after that)

3.crumpler fumbling at the one yard line(if crumpler would have held on to that football we could be talking about a 14-10 titans win)

i counted 2 seconds from when the play clock hit 0 and the ball was snapped, so i can't understand why no penalty was called...what gets me more is that i was watching Total Access during the week and they were speaking to a rep from the NFL referees commission or whatever about this EXACT SAME THING!! i mean do we need to start introducing fog horns that go off when the play clock expires like in the NBA

as for the Bironas FG, it was a little unlucky because he WAS hitting it from distance with the wind blowing all over the place, but the penalty just before it that took it from a 46 yard try to a 51 yard try really killed it

but the Crumpler fumble was just stupid from a guy of his experience and the fumble by LenDale was just as bad because his arm was flying all over the place and it looked like a little poke of the ball might have knocked it out at one point

Re: Titans vs Ravens

Bottom line is, it's hard to say that wasn't delay of game.

It's obvious. Whether it was 3 seconds, one, or .5.

Anyone who is objective can see that.

I was just rooting for a good game, and as far as I'm concerned, all we got was further evidence that NFL officials are incompetent.

That is how an impartial fan see's it. The truth hurts, but the game winning FG never should have had a chance to take place.

I think Baltimore would have found a way to win, but we'll never know, since the Titans were cheated.

I don't think anyone can watch that play and honestly say that there was no delay there.
