With yesterday's court ruling, Maurice Clarett is now eligible for the NFL draft (barring a successful appeal by the NFL). This might throw a kink into many teams' draft strategies. Which team will pick up Clarett, seeing that he brings some luggage with him?

Another question this raises...is it appropriate for young men recently removed from High School to compete in professional football? The NBA, MLB, and NHL all draft high-schoolers, but the physicality and mental toughness required in the NFL is on a whole other level. What effect, if any, will this have on the college football scene?

it will take some time before it becomes like basketball. remember it was in 1971 when the nba was forced to take high schoolers. the college scene will stay the same. with the lower colleges having to fight more for the players.
