Vince Young Contract

Nice to see the TN Titans have signed Vince Young before the Texas QB had training camp. The third overall draft pick, Young inked a five-year contract, with an option for a sixth year. Young's contract comes with $25.7 million guaranteed and an overall value that could reach $58 million if all bonuses are hit.

Young's package is bigger than the NFL's top draft pick, defensive end Mario Williams. Houston signed Mario to a deal that's worth ONLY $54 million over 6 years.

Anybody think these guys got a fair deal? Anybody think Young's agent is better than Mario's? Anybody think we'll get what we're paying for?

Hey, I just posted that in another post...back off Boss Man...

The Agent did a great job...I like to know what the Saints are thinking now...Bush is going to want a better deal at #2 overall in the draft.

Re: Vince Young Contract

So Bush should be looking at about $10 mill a year, right? Unreal.

Glad to see Young sign, though. He probably won't play much this year, but I can see him eventually become the QB everyone THINKS Michael Vick is. Loads of talent and unlimited potential.

Cool Re: Vince Young Contract

This is the risk about taking a pick at the top of the draft. They cost you a ton of money and if they fail, it hurts you for years. For every Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer, there's a Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, etc....So when you draft that high, you'd better be right.

That's why unless the guy is a lock, I rather trade down for a few lower picks if I can.
