Response I will concede that Eddie George isn't washed up...but 4 GOOD years left? I'd like to believe that, but Eddie's been banged up alot lately and there's an abundance of young talent coming into the league. My guess is that Eddie begins splitting time this season to allow some of those younger backs to cut their teeth. I see Eddie as being more of a father figure to some of these younger backs. He knows the ins and outs of NFL running and he's very personable, which I think will make him a great teacher. Any student under his tutelage will only get better. As for the Titans drafting Clarett, I think that Clarett will throw a real wrench into the draft scheme and he will be taken in mid-first round by a team that really needs a running back like Tampa Bay or Pittsburgh. But that may free up another quality back like Steven Jackson or Kevin Jones.

Hey, everyone. Personally I think Eddie would be better if he had a better line in front of him. But the Titans might want to start looking for his replacement, he seems to be injury prone lately, let him start being a teacher to the younger RB's coming in

Clarett in the first round of the draft? Not a chance. He'll be lucky to go before the 3rd round is over. There are faster, bigger and certainly smarter backs ahead of him. I say he'd be about the 8th or 9th running back taken. He's just not that good. Certainly not the NFL version of Lebron James or anything.

eddie george 4 good years left. what do you smoke and please dont drive under the influence of it. i doubt if he has four good quaters in him. he should have retired after the 2001 season. as for the next back probably brown. unlesby some miracle kevin jones or the michagan rb slip down. its happened before last year the vikings screwed everyone up and boss bailey slipped to the second round

heh George isn't bad. I don't know why people are so down on him. Two things have happened that have shifted the focus from him to McNair. 1. The departure of Lo Neil. Lorenzo Neil is inarguably the best blocking FB in the NFL, propelling otherwise good rushers to greatness. Corey Dillon who? Noone before Lo showed up. 2. The arrival of Mike Himerdinger(sp). This guy came in from the Broncos in 2000 as offensive coordinator. He saw McNair's untapped potential and decided to move to 2, 3, and 4 WR sets to give Steve more targets. As a result they run single back sets quite a bit and Eddie is just not a potent runner without a blocker in front. E.G. could move on to a power rushing team (like TN used to be) such as Baltimore and thrive there. He does have a few GOOD seasons left in the tank. Don't expect him to tutor any up-and-comers either, as he's good enough to go elsewhere, and the Titans need the cap room That being said, Chris Brown has great potential and TN shouldn't waste a pick on another RB when they have needs elsewhere (like replacing the freak) Don't be hard on Eddie. He moved from superstar to roleplayer, and it's not his fault, but his OC's.

Clarett Wow finally some Titan fans!! I am from a state other than Tenn. And I'm the only titanfan I know of around here. so it is nice to talk with some titanfans. Well I hope the reason we got the extra 2nd rd. pick #42 was to get Clarett. I give Eddie, (let me get this straight first of all I am one of Eddies biggest fans and he is the reason I am a Titans fan I followed him to houston from the Bucks and ever since have been a full blooded titan fan and now not just cause of Eddie now) where was I oh yeah, I give Eddie 2 maybe 3 more seasons as the feature back, that's when I think Clarett would be ready to be a franchise Back. Clarett is a different runner than Eddie so I believe he would be a great change of pase back this year. So I hope and pray that the Organization see's this my way on draft day. Go Titans!!!!!!!

Clarett and OLine The chances of the Titans taking Clarett are slim to none. If Fisher and Reese passed up Randy Moss in the '98 draft due to his attitude and off-the-field problems, then I think it's a safe bet that we will come nowhere near taking Clarett. The young Buckeye's ego will not fit in with the chemistry the Titans have. Not to mention his injury prone freshmen season. Eddie should stay. Period. Eddie George has never missed a game in his NFL career and that is not something many around the NFL can say, especially when you look at other superstars around the league. Even McNair's not as durable as Eddie. Eddie's biggest problem is not having an offensive line that consists of the likes of Bruce Matthews and Jon Runyan anymore. Brad Hopkins is on the verge of being washed up and is heavily penalized when he actually does a good job of blocking. Fred Miller shows flashes of greatness, but then other times looks as though he's standing still as defensive lineman run past him; oh and he is still having problems with the snap count. I thought maybe he left those problems with him in St. Louis. We can cut Hartwig some slack because it was his first year at starting center and improved greatly. Olson and Piller are top notch guards, one of the best tandems in the league. It's my opinion that we need to be finding a competent OT in the draft to replace the aging Hopkins. Maybe getting some fresh legs out there could make a world of difference for Eddie.

draft Well I wasnt saying to get rid of Eddie, I also think that Clarett's off field problems are behind him. However he has a Grande EGO that needs to be popped and it willkes of Lavar Arington, Brian Urlacher ,Ray Lewis Hit him. MY personal thoughts on Clarett is he will be a Ladanian Tomlinson type of runner, he has great hands, his cuts and speed in the whole are amazing, and when he get's in the secondary he can FLY!!
