In a recent interview Vince Young has mentioned how this season he is looking to throw the deep ball more and has been working on that more with new offensive Coach 'Dinger.

Last season it was pretty obvious that when Vince threw the long ball it well...didn't work and now with a new arsenal of recievers both fast and tall, as well as our first round pick, the fastest guy in the draft, Chris Johnson, Vince wants to improve his touch when passing the long ball.

Now as much as i would love to see Vince throwing the long bomb, which was something he could do well at college, do we really need to be doing it when we have players like Crumpler, White, Scaife, Johnson and tall recievers like Gage available for short dump passes?

It cant hurt for Young to become more confident in his deep ball even though he prob wont throw many during games with weapons like crump, scaife, johnson, etc. that he can hit accurately in short yardage and turn those short passes into big gaines. Heimerdinger likes to keep defenses on thier toes and is not afraid to call for a deep ball on any down, so Young needs the practice just to add that to his tools he is comfortable with throughout the game.
