White Played Whole of '07 with Injury

It was reveled yesterday that LenDale White, who had a career season and effectively WAS the Titans offense last year, played the entire season with a torn meniscus.

White, who underwent surgery to try and fix that problem in January, was back on the field with the team during OTA's but was limited to his drills.

thats just amazing, i have a new found respect for the guy especially when you consider had he gone down we would have had almost no running backs last season. But it got me thinking how much Johnson will be playing this year if White played the way he did last year with a knee injury...looks like a new improved Thunder and Lightning partnership may emerge next season for the Titans

White says he is nearly recovered following offseason surgery

I definitley agree alex, his stats were awesome on top of the fact he was injured, I like the white/ johnson combo. Its gonna be like reggie bush but BETTER, mark my words. Theres a reason behind fishers madness. Lendale even said hes excited, hes gonna wear 'em down, johnson will finish 'em..

defiantly, i mean think about it we could play the whole game with Vince at QB and White and Johnson lining up in the backfield, then you have Scaife and/or Crumpler and Gage, Jones and Williams...

who do you cover?...
the running quarterback
the pound for pound runner
the speedy runner
the two tight ends that can catch as good as a receiver
the 6" 2' receiver
or the other more than capable receivers

thats all we took in the draft was speed, and I like it, this puts a LOT of pressure of vince young, now the defense has to worry about our running game and scramble..on top of vinces improved laser target arm..

why do you say that? i think if anything it would take the pressure OFF Vince because he wont be having to make long, deep passes, i expect to see a lot dump passes, passes to the tight ends, option plays for Vince and running plays...i think next year Vince will become a lot better

yeah i think the offense will really improve thanks to Dinger...i mean he has a QB like McNair running things, an experienced offensive line that doesn't really need to be touched...a pounder for pound runner and a speed runner to chose from...two tight ends he can easily use like he did with Wycheck and some pretty decent receivers with a nice mix or speed and height

Its starting to look like the titans of old, I just hope we get albert signed before deadline, I sure as hell would hate to see him on the jags or colts..

I like we got kearse and mcariens back also..

I like the guy too. You also have to admire the guy for knowing his role too. he doesn't seem to have an ego if he knows he is going to be the one wearing the opposing team down while Johnson will finish them off.

i think that we will resign him, i mean apart from the fact that our defense will be nothing without him and everyone related to the Titans knows that...plus Albert said he wants to stay with the Titans anyway so i think he will do whatever he can to stay with us

but yeah nice to have some experience back from Kearse and McCariens who i still think have enough left in the tank for us to groom some new guys

not 100% sure that he will have a breakout season but i think the fact he is back in a place he is comfortable with and he will get a lot of one-on-one situations will most likely see him putting up big numbers this year
