| Steve 'Air' McNair Retires As most of you may have heard, former Titans great Steve McNair has announced his retirement from professional football today, ending a great 13 year career. Steve spent the bulk of his illustrious career with the Titans/Oilers franchise and made history by becoming the first black QB to be drafted with one of the top 3 picks of the NFL draft and then made history again by becoming the first black QB to lead his team to a Super Bowl. After a series of problems with his sternum and a rather unfortunate incident that occurred when the Titans drafted McNairs portage, Vince Young...McNair left for Baltimore where he could never really recapture the kind of talent he had when he was playing for the Titans/Oilers. i was fortunate enough to see Steve at his peak and he was one hell of a player, one hell of a warrior and one HELL of a Titan McNair left Mt. Olive, but Mt. Olive never left McNair
