Titans feel Pacman will be top three returner for Cowboys

There's a difference of opinion between the Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans in trade talks involving Adam "Pacman" Jones. The Cowboys see a troubled player down to his last strike, so they don't want to overpay for his services. The Titans see two playmakers a shutdown cornerback and an elite return specialist and don't want to just give away such a unique, young talent. Sources said the Titans have asked for two mid-round draft picks, one in 2008 and the other in 2009. The Cowboys were offering one second-day selection in 2008. One draft pick might be sufficient compensation for the 24-year-old's cornerback skills but the Titans need that second pick as payment for his return abilities. "If he is reinstated, comes back and is given the opportunity to return both punts and kicks, he'll be in the top three in the league in both categories," Titans coach Jeff Fisher said Tuesday at the AFC coaches breakfast at the NFL spring meeting. That cannot be debated. -- Dallas Morning News

I think the Cowboys made too big of a thing about the fact that they wanted Pacman. Titans feel like maybe they have the Boys over a barrel now. Now they will end up paying more than Pacman is worth. Because if he was so great he was two players, then why dont they just keep him??

because the trouble he gets into but i dont think the titans will trade him for less than he's worth and the titans may keep him.and fisher is right about how good he is to by the way.

That is the thing with Pacman, other than Devin Hester he is the best return man in the league, it's just nobody knows that because of his off-field anticts

Which is why I wouldn't give them two picks. Let him stay in Tenn.

I think now that hes on his last strike, hes going to do everything possible to stay out of trouble, i mean he's only 24. So if i were tennessee, i would keep him.

That is all true about Fisher being right about how good he is. I have seen him play. BUT there is the first part of your post and thats the biggie--because he gets into a lot of trouble. It kind of detracts from his worth on the field in my mind. If it didnt, the Titans would keep him.

Ya know, if they dont pay too much for him, and somehow they keep him out of trouble for one year, I get kind of excited thinking about it myself and I was dead set against him all the while. Just imagine it!

No, I'm not. It just seems that it might be inevitable, so try to think positive.

yor right about him getting in trouble and i agree with you 100% that him getting in trouble is why he isnt worth trading a bunch for but if you step in tennessee's shoes on this you have to say o.k. we have a very talented player we have two options 1.keep him and hope he turns his career around and 2.we lose a great player for 5th round draft pick where most likely alot of talent wont come out of the pick

No matter what Jones did he's talent is worth more that a 5th rounder. They should have at least got a 3rd or maybe even a 2nd for him. I mean if he cleans his act up and makes some changes in his life the Cowboys are gonna really benefit from this trade!

exactly my point as well if he does turn his career around than the cowboys get a great player and we most likely will get a sorry draft pick and its a bit silly if you ask me.
