Titans let McCareins leave town

Former Titans receiver Justin McCareins is considering making other free-agency trips after failing to immediately reach a contract agreement with his old team. But his agent said McCareins would like to sign with the Titans. McCareins, a 2001 draft pick by the Titans who has played the past four seasons with the Jets, visited Tennessee on Thursday, the day the team signed another former Titan, defensive end Jevon Kearse. -- Tennessean

Re: Titans let McCareins leave town

I think the Titans are tired of picking average WR's.

we are looking for a top notch WR this off season. I dont think we will get a WR till the draft. They are looking for a guy who can run fast and break free.

i see what your saying and obviously it is true with players like Williams (Mike and Paul) and Eric Moulds...but we took a risk on Gage and he worked out pretty well i would love to see McCairens back with the Titans, from the sounds of it he wants to be back and i think the team wants him back but we are probably low balling him with a contract which is a shame that we could lose and old favorite just because of money issues

I still think Paul Williams will be a good reciever, I dont know why he didnt get any time in last year when even mike williams got in on a few plays.

Re: Titans let McCareins leave town

I think we need to go for Limas Sweed , Vince Youngs former Longhorn teammate WR.

If the first 23 teams pick the kind of player they need in the draft then the titans should be able to walk away with one of the following. WR's..

Limas Sweed
Malcolm Kelly
DeSean Jackson
Devin Thomas

thats if the titans want a WR in the first round. If all these WR's are taken by the time the Titans pick then theres gonna be some nice CB' and RB's still available. Then the Titans will have to decide what they need more.

ive heard a lot about us taking him in the first round if we go for a receiver, it would be good for Vince to have another team mate on the team because just like with Scaife it has be proven he can play better when he see's 'familiar' faces around him
