Titans could lose DE Odom in free agency?

Aside from defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, who is expected to either receive a contract extension or the franchise tag before free agency opens, defensive end Antwan Odom could be the Titans player who would generate the most interest on the open market. The former second-round pick in 2004 put together an eight-sack season this past year after missing all but four games in 2006 with two separate knee injuries, and battling through some inconsistencies his first two years. Odom also tipped seven passes in 2007. Odom's agent Tony Agnone, who represents the former Alabama star along with Richard Rosa, knows a big payday could be on the horizon for Odom, either with the Titans or somewhere else. "It might be difficult for them to keep him, because pass rushing ends are at such a premium in this league. It depends on what type of offer is out there. But we're open to anything. We'll just have to see what they want to do," Agnone said. -- Nashville City Paper

Titans may have tough time keeping defensive end Odom on Nashville City Paper

Re: Titans could lose DE Odom in free agency?

the thing with Odom is that he is not that great an end to go and start on another team, unless they are desperate. he did a lot for his value in the market by ending the season with 8 sacks, but those were largely due to Kyle and Al taking so much attention from O-lineman that you could have put Rob Bironas on the other end of the defensive line and he would have got a few sacks.

i would like to bring him back but if we go into the draft looking to get an end in the second or 3rd round, which i think we will, if we dont go for one in the first, than he is free to go. although i would send LaBoy before him, becuase i though he would do great this season and he was a let down
