Olson could retire if Titans fall at Indy?

Benji Olson will play the 151st game of his 10-year career Sunday night in Indianapolis. And if the Titans should lose and finish their season, he will walk slowly off the field, very likely for the last time. "I don't know, we'll have to see," he said. "You know I am thinking about it. But we've got more important things going on right now than to be talking about my future. "Let's just put it this way: I've put a lot of thought into it this year and you can probably take a good guess at what's going to happen." If Olson calls it a career, the Titans could wind up needing to replace both their starting guards. Left guard Jacob Bell is heading for unrestricted free agency. -- Tennessean

Re: Olson could retire if Titans fall at Indy?

that would be a dissapointment especially as if Bell goes we could be left with terrible backups and i dont rate Eugene Amano AT ALL!!

Olson has had a good career though, been up and down the the titans and one of the few players still here from the golden era, and to lose him would have been bad last season or the season before when we had like no veteran presense but now we do i think we could be ok. but i can see to things possibly suffering:
1. Vince playing behind someone else
2, LenDale running behind a new guard, becuase he has been saying how the O line has helped him to play better

Wow, yeah, losing both guards would be tough.

The o-line has been good for you guys, and with youth at the skill positions, you can't afford to have it be shaky.

I can't say that I blame him. 10 straight years of getting beat up would take a toll on anybody.

i agree, it is easier for young guys to develop when they have veterans protecting them.

i think we will keep Bell but it would be interesting to see if we go for a guard in the first round of the draft becuase like i said we have no good back up offensive lineman
