LenDale White picked by Tennessee, 2nd round

We all know what USC tailback LenDale White is capable of on the football field. There are some injury and motivational concerns, but its got to bring a smile to Titans fans faces to see a kid with such potential and 1st round talent wind up coming to Tennessee in the second. He won't see many reps this year behind Henry and Brown, but I can definitely see him developing into their star back of the future.

He is actually one of the best running-back the NFL Draft has to offer. It just so happens that he didn't recieve that much, if any publicity because he was covered up by Reggie Bush.

Really, it has more to do with his poor condition and perceived laziness than it does playing second fiddle to Bush. As Brenson Buckner said on NFL Network today, 'lazy' is about the worst label a professional football player can earn. White is really going to have to work hard and prove to his teammates that he's got what it takes to be an NFL tailback.

He should get enough playing time to prove himself. As you may have already seen, some players who stunk in college got their act together in the NFL.

Cool Re: LenDale White picked by Tennessee, 2nd round

I think he is a bargain at where he was drafted. And you just know that Steve Fisher will just be on top of his butt to make sure he stays in shape.

Big gambles by the Titans woth potential big payoffs...they are either set for the next decade...or they will be second guessed for years to come...Still I like both players...I am shocked that White slipped to 45th...he is a game day player...come game day, the guy delivers...I rather draft that than a work room wonder boy who falters on the field...

And he's reunited with Norm Chow in Tennessee. That can't hurt.
