Rob Bironas kicked himself into NFL history and the Pro
Football Hall of Fame.
The Titans kicker, who went 8-for-8 on field goals against the Texans to set an NFL record for most field goals in a game, said the team sent the eighth-kick football to the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
"That is pretty cool,'' Bironas said. "It is going to be up there for a lot longer than I would be able to keep it or to pass it to my family, so it is definitely an honor to have it in the Hall of Fame.''
After the season, the Hall is also expected to get his cleats.
Bironas was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday. The fourth-year pro said he's received a lot of texts, emails and phone calls, but he's focused on Sunday's game against the Raiders.
