Titans quarterback Vince Young has a strained quad, which kept him from practicing on Wednesday and Thursday. Though he was able to take some snaps with the scout team on Friday, his availability for the annual Uncle Rico homecoming game in Houston is a game-time decision.

"He was limited. He participated in warm-ups, threw the ball and participated in limited practice," coach Jeff Fisher said. "That would imply that he's improving. He will still be a game-time decision, but it was encouraging to see him on the field today."

If Young can't play, Kerry Collins will get the start.

I agree if vince doesnt play were screwed, theres a reason why vince took over last year after losing so many games with Kerry, why we resigned him this year is beyond me..

Who would you rather see at backup?...Should they have gotten someone like Daunte or Harrington?...the Miami cast offs?

for sure Daunte, joey I dont know, kerry and joey seem to be equal maybe kerry is better than joey..I wish we still had volek, if you see him ask him how everythings panning out for him..

not yet, he has to be out more than a couple games to officially get that title...

im not counting us out on this one yet. i think loosing Vince will be a major loss and i am not to convinced with our run game that it can take over our offense but i think our defense is good enough to do some damage and at times like this i look back to the Jags game last season when our offense, including Vince, didnt even get started in the game, but we wont due to 2 defensive plays and a special teams play. i think the game will be closer than expected but im not ready to give up on the titans yet on this one...

i agree but unlike most people i beleive kollins will play good he's a veteran and knows he's expected to play good and he's more confident this year than last year he has no presure on him what so ever and unlike last season he knows he has good players around him.GO TITANS!!!!!!and GO KOLLINS!!!!!!!!
