Titans @ Bucs

the titans travel to Florida today to face the 3-2 Bucs who have been one of those up and down teams this season.

the bucs are led by veteran QB Jeff Garcia, who is one of only a few quaterbacks yet to throw a pick this season. however i would expect to see that go up today as the Bucs have lost both their starter and backup and will be starting their third string RB and backing him up will be basically two nobodys

the titans are coming off a poor offensive display against the Falcons in which they had 5 offensive turn overs...however the defense has come in leaps and bounds this season and held the Falcons to just 6 points in 5 red zone trips.

i would expect to see the titans take this one but the home field advantage will play well for the Bucs.

my prediction: game tied by half time, keeping close, but the titans eventually take it by 10+ points

Re: Titans @ Bucs

yeah I do think this will be a lot closer than some think. Jeff Garcia will be forced to throw at least 30 times b/c our run defense is awesome, and the Bucs just don't have a running game. I also believe Garcia will throw his first INT b/c of all of the throws.
It will be close: 20-14

Re: Titans @ Bucs

half time, the Bucs lead 3-0 and neither team is playing exceptionally well and the score shows that.

the titans offense has had some good plays but the run game is yet to get going and Vince Young...i dont wanna talk about him right now, im mad at him ...but another half to go so hopefully he will get us the win

yeah i agree with you on that one titans#1, but at the same time there was to much hang time on the pass and it was just begging to be picked off. i hope vince does come back in this game because i dont feel confident with Kerry Collins leading things right now. but 2 minutes to go, lets see what happens...

Re: Titans @ Bucs

game ends, bucs win 13-10 and if we continue to play the way we did offensively today we might as well kiss any chance of the playoffs goodbye. a poor poor offensive performance with a FEW bright sparks here and there

I didnt see it but Vince has a sprained quadracep, Our percentage of losing games is increased 110% when vince is out, I dont have much faith in collins but either way, we only lost by 3 pts, its not like we got blew out..keep the faith gentleman..Atleast were not 0-5 like last season at this point..

yeah i saw the incident, to be honest it was the most frightening thing ive seen in years in terms of a titans players injury becuase as he went out of bounds it seemed like 20 different things could have happened before he hit the ground...and then when he was lying there and not getting up i was just like (i didnt really cry but i could have)
i dont have faith in Collins either and after yesterdays display i have no faith in LenDale White. i mean everytime he took the ball i wasnt expecting him to break more than a few yards and thats not what you want from your starter. he showed his true use for the team when he scored the TD and that is that he is only to be used as a red zone runner or a third down/short yardage back...i mean 20 carries for 64 yards...come on!
and vince i see your point that we only lost by 3 but that is good if we play the Colts, not when we play a team like the Bucs who, in all fairness, we should be killing.
i just hope our offense gets a real kick up the butt

Re: Titans @ Bucs

the bucs are a good team i respect them a lot but the titans at the same time beat them selves more than the bucs did and unlike you guys i do have faith in collins after watching him in preseason and in the game against the bucs having to come in unexpectedly and play as well as he did i understand he had made some bad decesions but in all fairness VY didnt play much better the past two weeks and i think our deffense is good enough to keep points off the board so our poor offense can score just twice and make it close.and dont forget collins came in against a good deffense and no running game and without brandon jones.GO TITANS
