Post Titans waive 7 players

The brother of Ravens left tackle Jonathan Ogden and one of their former draft picks in receiver Jonathan Orr were among the seven players the Tennessee Titans waived Sunday. Offensive lineman Marques Ogden was released with Orr, a receiver picked out of Wisconsin in the sixth round last year who didn't play in any games as a rookie.

Bet the name got him a look though...and are the Manning brothers or perhaps the Barber brothers the best siblings to play the game?

Nah, it'd have to be the Matthews brothers, Bruce and Clay.

The Barbers aren't that far off, but the Mannings need more production out of Elis to be seriously considered.

Weight of the positition has to count...Eli for all his critiques still starts for a New York team and has chucked 48 Tds in the last two seasons for them...that's a nice counterbalance to a brother who is the top of the line at a very, very key position...and a 2 time MVP...

To me it reads more like big brother is at the top and little brother isnt very good. If we are discussing best siblings, it seems that both of them would have to be good to be considered.

Or maybe Peyton just casts a tall shadow...Eli is never gonna get the love no matter what...cause he is gonna always be compared to big brother.

Peyton does cast a tall shadow. But Eli is missing something, that spark or drive or whatever. Maybe that comes from being in the shadow so long. For whatever reason, the Manning brothers cant be considered one of the top pair of siblings, because Eli just doesnt look that good. Even if you dont compare him to his brother.

Re: Titans waive 7 players

yeah i agree, i think coming into the league Eli probably wouldnt have gone as high as he did had he not had the name he did, hes a good QB and good for the Giants but he will never reach the level of a great QB or come close to doin what his brother has done...although saying that there are 2 factors which must be looked at...how many people will come close to achieving what Peyton has and you look at the teams they play for...
