Re: Ben Troupe set for breakout year

ive always been a big fan of Ben Troupe and the Titans TE's in particular, however i cant see him having a breakout year this year, not becuase i dont think he is a good player with a lot of capability, but becuase i think when you have a QB like Vince Young who likes to spread the ball around to 10 recievers a game, it will be difficult for recievers to have breakout seasons and stack up a lot of yards.

althought saying that it was shown last year that Vince favours throwing the ball out to TE's rather than just his recievers, opting to dump it off rather than go for the long bomb down the field. so maybe Troupe can put up some big numbers, but not incredibly amazing ones at that.

what are everyones opinion of Ben Troupe as a player? i mean he lived in Erron Kinneys shadown for a few years and 2 years ago when he was handed the starting job after Kinney got injured he had a great season

out of all the TE's in the league i think he could be a fantasy sleeper and could pick up quiet a few yards and most likely a quiet a few TD's becuase he is pretty fast for a TE...also Vince likes to throw to his TE's in the red zone...in particular Troupe and Bo Scaife, his former Texas team mate who saw a suprisingly large amount of balls thrown his way last year

Re: Ben Troupe set for breakout year

becuase i think Troupe will pick up big numbers for someone who hasnt got a TE but i think there are other TE's who will have more productive seasons such as Crumpler, Smith and Gonzalez.

if this was the kind of fantasy football competition where each player has an amount they are worth i would say pick up troupe becuase he will have a smaller price tag than the BIG 3 but can pick up a lot of points
