Who should the Titans draft?

I was wondering peoples thouhts on who the Titans should draft? The situation that we are in now sets a toll for a QB. If so should they draft Vince young or Matt Leinhart? I am up in the air about the two. I think that Vince young will either explode as a QB or just not do anything. Matt Leinhart, I think he's going to be a good QB and make plays but at a meduim pace being consistant. Whats your opinion?

Matt is the more polished QB of the two. Young the more athletic...I'd take Matt without hesitation...but Young makes one heck of a consolation prize.

Re: Who should the Titans draft?

So many positives about both, yet so many negatives too. Leinart has poise; Young has athleticism. Leinart is more of a prototype passer; Young does whatever it takes to win. Leinart is perceived as flaky (he did just fire his agent already); Young's mental acuity is under question due to his Wonderlic results. Some say Leinart is more interested in being a star than being a football player; Some say that Young doesn't throw an NFL quality pass. In the end, I fall a little more into Young's camp, because of his ability to freelance and create. But as Gotham says, you really can't go wrong with either one of them - or so it seems.

Yes my good man but which guy fits into the Titans system better?...maybe that should be the question.

Re: Who should the Titans draft?

Depends if its a McNair run system or a Volek run system. If it's McNair, Vince Young's your guy. If you go to Volek, you want Leinart. Doesn't hurt that Norm Chow's on the Titan's staff, either. I think considering the circumstances surrounding McNair, their pick will indeed wind up being Leinart.

Re: Who should the Titans draft?

The Titans are in a tricky spot. For the past few years, they've desired that big OT. There's one who will be sitting in their laps come draft day but do they jsut take him? Or do they trade down and pick up extra picks from a team wanting a QB?

If I were them, I'd trust Volek and pick up Ferguson be protector for 10 years.

Might not be a bad idea. If it works and they win, fantastic. If not, they might have a crack at Brady Quinn in next year's draft. A potential win-win scenario, there. Somehow, though, I still see them going QB in April.

The best available offensive player. Everyone is saying a QB and I cannot think of another NFL team with a more obvious decision in this year's draft.

But will that be Leinart, Young, Ferguson, Davis... or someone else?

Don't forget Reggie Bush! There is (a less that 10%) chance that Reggie Bush will be left by the time the Titans are on the clock.
