Brown Looking For His Chance

Free agent running back Chris Brown spoke with several teams over the offseason who were in need of help in the back field, but the four-year veteran said not much came from those talks. ''A lot of people don't think I can still do it,'' Brown told The Tennessean. ''But I still have it in my eyes. I can still play at a high level in this league, and wherever I land, I'll show up with a big chip on my shoulder.''
Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt told The Tennessean the team wanted to have their former 2003 third-round draft pick re-signed.
''We would still like him back, and I think deep down he would still like to be back here,'' Reinfeldt told The Tennessean. ''It is probably fair to say we both think this would be a good match, but the compensation is still the issue.''

So what about it titans fans, would you want chris back? I dont think we have much of a choice, though I wouldnt sign him longer than 1 yr deal..

Re: Brown Looking For His Chance

yeah i dont see the problem with signing Brown for a one year deal the least he can bring is his veteran experience, we have Chris Henry who i would assume will be our starter this season since LenDale White is having a problem with coming to practice and loosing weight and acting like he actually wants to play football. i think Brown thought he would go into free agency and be a backup for a good team or a starter for a bad one and that would give his carreer a boost. unfortunatly he went into free agency and no one wanted him, cant think why but now he is coming back to us with his tail between his legs asking for a second chance and im not to fussed about giving him a second chance.

Re: Brown Looking For His Chance

i still beleive belieive he can get the job done he has alot to prove and he can help our two young rb's.the reason for the 1 year deal is because we are giving him a second chance and if he fails than he will probably be gone next year.

Re: Brown Looking For His Chance

titans#1 good to have you back, yeah i figure thats the reason behind the one year deal i mean hes not going to get anything better from anyone else and hes not that good a player that a year in free agency will get him picked up by anyone else so i figure we give him a year to work with the young guys and maybe even push up to playing back up if LenDale doesnt pick up his game and then take it from there next season, he played pretty well when he came in as a third string RB this season if anyone remebers, i think in the Bills came he came in and did really well
