Frank Wycheck Pro wrestler?

Titans tight end. Morning radio personality. Professional wrestler?
Frank Wycheck will be part of a Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling press conference today announcing a fifth-anniversary pay-per-view event that will take place in Music City on June 17.
The "Slammiversary" will mark TNA's return to Nashville for the first time in three years and take place at Municipal Auditorium.
It's unclear how Wycheck will tie into the affair, but it could be motivated by his presence at a 2002 TNA event in Nashville when two of his teammates at the time, Fred Miller and Zach Piller, got involved in the action.
The announcement will also include three-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett, six-time TNA Tag Team Champion James Storm and TNA X Division Pioneer Jerry Lynn.

This should be interesting..

Not WWE, but their top (only?) competitor, TNA wrestling (the old NWA). Yeah, the seem to have set something up with him and a wrestler named "Cowboy" James Storm. Not sure if this is going to become a full-time thing for Wycheck or not, but it should be interesting.

Re: Frank Wycheck Pro wrestler?

It's a one time deal, a special event because TNA is having their 5th Anniversary PPV in Nashville tonight, their birthplace. Wycheck is still a popular guy and with his radio show, brings in some people who may not have heard of TNA otherwise.

The match happened a short time ago. It was Frank Wycheck teaming with Jerry Lynn (with Kyle Vanden Bosch in their corner) wrestling the team of Ron Killings and James Storm.

Wycheck & Lynn deafeated Killings & Storm.

How did Wycheck look, Empire? I'm guessing they made it a tag match to try and cover for him.

Re: Frank Wycheck Pro wrestler?

I didn't see it (just reading reports of it) but since the original scheduled match was a one-on-one contest, you're right about them trying to protect him.

From what I read, Wycheck did a good job getting the crowd behind him (which I imagine wasn't a tough job at all) and not sticking out like a sore thumb. Wycheck hit storm with a cradle piledriver to win the match...although one report said the execution of the move didn't look pretty, lol.

Re: Frank Wycheck Pro wrestler?

It is on PPV tonight! I would like to see it, but i don't do the PPV's anymore! You know they will let his team win, though! I imagine he will do OK, they made Jeff Hammond look good, I;m sure they can do the same with him. There have also been players from the White Sox see some action in TNA, even having Ozzie Gullien give someone a chair shot!
