As an N.F.L. linebacker, Keith Bulluck has known only one home, with the
Tennessee Titans, who drafted him in the first round out of Syracuse in 2000. But when Bulluck was 12 he was abandoned by his mother. He would have wound up a ward of the state if Linda Welch, the mother of a friend, had not taken him in. Bulluck has made foster children the focal point of the charity he started in 2003. This weekend, he returns to Rockland County as the host of a softball tournament featuring his Titans teammate Vince Young, with proceeds going to the Rockland County Parent Aid Fund.
