You can't make this stuff up:

Nashville police ticketed Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones for speeding four days before his meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to appeal his season-long suspension.

Jones was stopped at 12:45 a.m. Monday on Interstate 65 heading into downtown after an officer clocked him on radar at 79 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was driving the 2004 Cadillac XLT sportscar he bought at police auction last fall with "PAC-MAN" embroidered into the seats.

Police spokesman Don Aaron said Friday that Jones also was cited for not having a driver's license with him.

I am sure there will be an article about not cutting his lawn and getting in trouble with the home owners association 3 days befor the meeting...

Nothing the guy will do from this point on will not end up under the magnifying glass...

LOL. But I agree with you. This shouldn't be a big deal, but since it's Pacman, it's going to be. Yeah, he speeded, but it's not that big of a deal as his past actions have been. Maybe he was in a hurry for something?

yeah i agree with you guys, im sure out of the hundreds of NFL players playing in one season there must be a ratio of like 3 tickets a day but since they are not in the bad light then no one takes notice. but GDK i agree with you, from now on everything remotely illegal or deemed bad will be plasted all over the papers and internet:
"pacman jones leaves the toilet seat up "
"pacman jones jay walks"
"pacman jones doesnt put seat belt on FIRST when he gets in car, he waits until the key is in the ignition"

LOL.who cares if he was speeding?there acting like this is worst than when m.vick got cought with weed at the miami airport.i cant even imagin what would happen to pacman if he got cought with weed.m.vicks case gets canceled pacman would get suspended for a season or baned from the NFL.

A speeding ticket and driving without a liscence in and of itself is no big deal. But after his Mea Culpa, and considering his NFL predicament, he should be careful about EVERYTHING he does.

So he was either very disengenous about his apology or VERY STUPID. And my guess is he's probably both.
