The Tennessee Titans added two more former Indianapolis players Wednesday, signing quarterback Tim Rattay and claiming linebacker Gilbert Gardner off waivers from the Colts.

you know i was reading this story earlier and wondering if we would make a move on Gardner but i thought after the team made so many moves to bring in more LB's this off season we wouldnt take another one but here we go...considered one of the best linebackers for the Colts last season gets suprisingly cut and we snap him up before he has cleaned out his locker now with all the LB's we now have i think Gardner would most likely come in and play on the outside effectively replacing Sirmon who was let go so he should be an interesting pick up, he seems like the kind of player that wasnt really given a chance and really wants to show what he can do and that is good because although Thornton came in and already had a rep he had nothing to prove, Gardner does now.

and the less said about Rattay the better in my opinion. i dont have anything against the guy but he is another third string QB that never made the push as a formidable force in the NFL. obviously its hard to get playing time behind Peyton Manning but now with him and Kerry Collins in the ranks we better hope they keep Vince in a bubble when he is playing and when hes not i think matt mauck should have stayed as our third or backup QB becuase he showed real promise a few seasons ago, shame we let him go for no apparent reason what so ever...AGAIN!

wonder why they cut gardner, he will be a nice addition, rattay ive never seen play so dont know what to think about that pick up..

i would rather see rotay backup vince in the 2nd QB spot than kollins.and picking up gardner was a fantastic pickup i wouldnt be surprised not one bit if our Dfense make a great turn around from last season.

Both good signings, if you ask me. Lots of anti-Rattay sentiment here but he's definitely an upgrade over Collins as a backup.

but in all fairness anyone would be a better backup, i would have liked to have gotten someone like Seneca Wallace or Charlie Batch who could come in and been a very good starter in most teams but the prospect of being left with Collins or Rattay just doesnt sit well with me, i mean if we kept Bennett i would have prefered him to be our backup lol

Rattay over Collins as the back up any day. Rattay can play a little bit, while collins in his old age just throws the ball to the ground and braces for impact
