| Tennessee Titans - John Clayton Can Vince Young get better at quarterback if the Titans' skill positions around him look weaker? The Titans head into their minicamps with a lot of changes on offense. Wide receivers Drew Bennett and Bobby Wade and halfback Travis Henry are all gone. Chris Brown remains unsigned and it is not known if he will be back. LenDale White is the starting halfback at the moment, but he has reportedly ballooned to 260 pounds this offseason. The Titans did draft speedy running back Chris Henry in the second round, but the backfield clearly isn't as deep as it was a year ago. The receiving corps also seems a little thin. Young won Rookie of the Year honors by running around and moving the chains with timely throws. If new weapons don't emerge, it could be hard for him to repeat his success in 2007. | Re: Tennessee Titans - John Clayton The Titans fans can probably answer this one better than I can, but I personally believe Young is going to struggle with the clear downgrade of the skill position players around him. The lack of an established running game alone is going to allow defenses to better scheme against the passing attack. It's becoming clear that LenDale White isn't the answer, not after balooning up in weight for the second straight offseason. He lacks discipline.

| Re: Tennessee Titans - John Clayton I think a lot of people have criticized the team for their draft but I think they know what they are doing, at first it was why draft a ss well he is now a cb, why draft henry #2 fisher said he saw enough to convince him to pick him at that number, yea we lost bennett and wade but lets not kid ourselves into thinking these were all-star wr, I think justin gage will prob be our #1 wr starting out since he is a 4 yr veteran, givens will hopefully come back at some point and prove why we spent 24 mil on him and why he has 2 super bowl rings, but your gonna see a lot more vince, as long as we can protect him, losing henry was a big deal 'cause he put up respectable stats, the question mark is rb, lendale said hes back down at his ideal weight and that hes ready we will see, all in all its a very young team right now but I wouldnt count em out yet, fisher has done miracles in tennessee before.. |

| Re: Tennessee Titans - John Clayton vince will do fine next year i beleive brandon jones will be th no.1 WR next year and givens no.2. im not surprised at there draft pick a matter of fact i was saying before the draft that we would be better off picking a db instaed of a wr.and we dont know about our rb's both were drafted in the second round in the draft and hopefully they will prove why.and dont forget about paul williams he might become a good wr.and lets face it drew bennett wasnt getting any better. |
