Perhaps...I mean if we are going to punish by degree of idiotic action...but I still say he has a point...alleged is a big word...kinda like in the Ray Lewis case etc...so hey, if we are gonna hang him on alleged...or on other issues...(**cough**) Randy Moss(**cough**) ...the guy has a point...fine time for the NFL ot finally act...

but they are yet to show that Pacman was involved in or in any way condoned the paralyzing of that guy, like i said the police say they have nothing to link Pacman to it...apprently it was one of his entourage who shot the guy but there is no evidence to say he had anything to do with it...innocent until proven guilty and all that right?

If the NFL wants this policy to have any teeth, then yes, they do need to come down hard on Vick. He can't get a pass because he's a marquee guy. Carroll, on the other hand, is a moot issue for right now - Jacksonville cut him. If he does sign anywhere, they likely he'll be suspended either under the conduct or drug policy, or maybe even both. Not yet sure how the NFL will approach this when a guy violates both policies.

Yep...except in the case of "Hang'em High Pundit"...he goes after all the alleged criminals with extreme prejudice... (That aside you know we love ya Pundit...this would be no fun if you saw it different or heavens forbid, was a Barry Bonds fan)

Well, as part of this new conduct policy, I believe you're responsible for the behavor/acts of your entourage as well. Not 100% sure on that though.

Re: Pacman's Attorneys Finger Other Players

you bring up an interesting point there Lefty, of course they have different policies and rules and laws, but should the NFL not look at how the authorities deal with a situation before charging a player with suspensions and stuff? i mean in 10 of the Pacman cases he has been equitted of almost all of them, yet the NFL is prepared to suspend him for being in violation of some their rules...how can someone be in violation of a rule or law if they have been equitted by the police themselves the police say they didnt do anything and let him go so the league is not suggesting that the police were wrong and they are going to punish him instead? obviously this works in cases where players have taken steriods and the police cant take action becuase thats not illegal in 'society' but it is breach of a league rule, but thats not the case with the Pacman situation

Basically hang them Duke lacross players while you are at it huh?...

I would say it's subject to interpetation...though Pacman has pushed the envelope huh?

Re: Pacman's Attorneys Finger Other Players

there has to be a limit to how many times you can say you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time

once or twice, sure it can happen ........ nine times, not likely ..... no one is that unlucky

It doesnt matter if he was at the wrong place wrong time 50 times, until you can prove hes done something illegal they dont have a leg to stand on,also goodell wants to punish him for a rule he made up later on, if hes guilty then charge him and be done with it, dont you think the police would have nailed his rear a long time ago if they had proof, now look at all the stuff that they found on vicks property that serves as PROOF and that he is responsible for. Weed, illegal guns, syringes, dog abuse, gambling money..If goodell wants to punish someone for bad p.r. it should be atlantas golden boy..but he cant do that cause vick sells tickets..right? I think pac has a case here..

he shouldnt have had to bring it up bcuz pacman was never proven guilty for that case remember?i dont think it was fair for pacman bcuz they come up with the conduct rule after he did these things and he had know controle of avoiding the rule.they should have said look we have a new rule and if you have another run in with the cops you will be suspended for a season.not hay remember when you got in trouble with the police last week?well we were thinking and we decided to come up with a rule and suspend you for the whole season.its just not right.
