| Re: Tips for the Titans draft i dont think so.it never said anything about courtlan finnagan, pacman jones, ben troupe, and bo scaife.i beleive brandon jones is still going tobe one of the better WR's one day.and vince young will be a great QB.lendale white hasnt bean a bust yet but it looks to me the titans dont have much faith in him in my opinion i wouldnt put pressure on him i would let him go this year as the starter and if he does good we should keep it that way and if he fails we can find someone else to start and let him develope.and how about d.mason,s.role,s.mcnair,e.george,k.bulluck,a.dyson ,j.kearse, and k.dyson who ran back a KR to create the music mericle. |

| Re: Tips for the Titans draft 1. Don't spend a quality pick on a player from a Tennessee school. Wide receiver Joey Kent out of Tennessee was a bust in the second round of 1997 and wide receiver Tyrone Calico followed the same course out of Middle Tennessee State in 2003. Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, the first rounder in 2002, remains a key piece of the defense and can play like a Pro Bowler. He can also go AWOL for stretches and is capable of an on-field tantrum that brings the team a great deal of embarrassment. Kent, Calico and Haynesworth arrived to too much extra hype as a result of their local ties. It works against even later picks like fullback Troy Fleming, who lost his roster spot after just two seasons, and defensive tackle Jesse Mahelona, who had a disappointing rookie year last season.. Anyone by into this?...Isn't one of the highest rank receiver from Tennessee? I think they got to nail down a good receiver for Young...I mean they let go of Bennett...got to go reciever this time. |

| Re: Tips for the Titans draft i think what the article is trying to say is that in a time when the team was, or is, still in transition from the best days to the next generation we maybe havnt picked up the best of the best when its come to the draft. i mean some teams might go out and get 7 great players who can be starters where as we get 1 or 2 good players and maybe get a couple of lucky picks late on like Finnegan. it would be nice to finish a draft or be in the process of watching a draft and when it comes to second and third and fourth round picks etc... we start saying "yes thats a good pick i can see where he is going with that" rather than going... its obviously a shame we dont get many 'home grown' players from Tennessee but you look at the current roster and we only have 2, Cooper Wallace

| Re: Tips for the Titans draft i agree that Meachem will be a better pick not only for his speed but also for his presense on the field. vincesanity i see your point about the USC connection but we were fooled into thinking that last year when the team were going to take Matt Leinart for the same reason and we also have to consider that they will be playing with a new play book, new players and a whole new system in tennessee than he did at USC |
