Post Vince Young?

Do think Vince Young will become a strong QB like Steve McNair was for the Titans? I believe he will with his strong running and long throwing.

Re: Vince Young?

i think that Vince will become a better QB than Steve was by far, i think Steve was a great QB and a real Titans legend but based on what we have seen of Vince thus far i think that he will by pass his 'Pop' by the time his career is over.

what probably makes him so good is his scambelling ability for one, Steve was a scrambler but it was more of a scrambler to make up a few yards rather than Vince who can scramble and get a TD. in terms of arm ability he can throw just as well as Steve can but he seems to take a lot longer going through his progressions than Steve did, also based upon last season Vince isnt affraid to throw a few iratic passes, one that springs to mind is the first throw into the endzone against the Giants. plus just look at the awards Vince has picked up in his Rookie Year, its unbelievable!

i think McNair was a great QB and i think he is a Titans legend, but i think Vince will by pass him in terms of being a good QB

Re: Vince Young?

I think in time Vince will be regarded as one of the nfl's best qbs, hes the real deal, true competitor who can smoke you runnin' or with the pass, his rookie season was great but we havent seen anything yet..

Re: Vince Young?

Ok alot of great and sensible comparsion but the thing is for me, I gotta see him in the playoffs first, have you people forgotten what had McNair done for the Titan Franchise? They were one yard away from a superbowl, and McNair had that flair when playoff time came that just made the difference in a game. He didnt have the talent output as Young, but get this do you think that vince would have led you down the field when put in that position, In the Super bowl, and giving Tennessee a chance to win still?

Re: Vince Young?

i see your point there but with that i ask, had Vince been the starter from the beginning of the season would we not have been in the playoffs? i mean i get what your saying about the playoffs cos even the best *cough* Peyton Manning, play badly in the playoffs even when they play like MVPs throughout the regular season but i think the way Vince played showed that when put under extreme pressure he doesnt break and he can handle it and in his rookie season no less, i think that is just amazing! i mean to come back week after week against 2 good teams like the Giants and the Colts is something some QB's wont do in their entire career

Re: Vince Young?

I know what McNair did but he has left and now we got Vince Young to take his place which I believe is 10x better.
