Turner Visiting The Titans

http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that Chargers running back Michael Turner, a restricted free agent, is visiting the Tennessee Titans on Monday.
Turner has been tendered at the highest level, which means that, if the Titans were to sign him to an offer sheet, the Chargers would have the right to match it. If the Chargers choose not to match the offer, they would receive Tennessee's first-round and third-round selections in the April 28-29 draft.
Another possibility would be for the Titans and Chargers to swing a trade for something less than a one and a three.
The Bills also are reportedly interested in Turner. And there has been talk of a possible effort by the Packers to trade for him.
All three teams need a starting tailback; the Titans cut Travis Henry (who signed with the Broncos), the Packers lost Ahman Green to the Texans, and the Bills traded Willis McGahee to Baltimore.

If they picked up turner I could logically dismiss the henry release, this guy has 6.3 yards per carry with 502 yds. on 80 carries, oh yea and his stats come from being a backup to the best rb in the league, this guy is impressive, we need this guy, who's with me?

Re: Turner Visiting The Titans

oh yeah i totally agree with you i mean this guy has the potential to be the next big thing in terms of RB's and hes only 25 so he has some years ahead of him, the only major concern if whether the front office will make a good deal for him but if we do get him that will be excellent. when you think this guy was LT's backup and yet now that he is a free agent he is considered to be one of the top pickups of the free agency you gotta think this guy has something going for him.

i would like to see Dilllon come in as well to add his experience and from what ive read he would like to come to tennessee or go to Phili so if we could get him that would be great to, but if we did get Turner would that mean LenDale becomes his back up? i mean in Henry's first year he and Brown were switching before he became the starter this year, so would it go:
1. Turner
2. White
3. ????
or
1. White/Turner
2. ????

Re: Turner Visiting The Titans

If we did get turner there would be no doubt hes the man for the starting job, I knew he was good but when I looked up his stats I was amazed at the 6.3 a carry, when a backup playing less time than the starter can have a 100+ yards in a game, cm'n, plus from talks they have been saying lendale has put on weight and it aint muscle, I know some would disagree but this draft isnt like last years, turner is worth the draft picks..

Turner would start, no doubt about it. He could easily start for about 20 teams in the NFL.
