Titans New Recievers??

now this just came to my mind but while i was reading up on all the potential recievers in the draft it got me thinking, should we go for a reasonably good catching reciever who is a good blocker or do we go with a very good catching reciever who isnt a very good blocker? i ask this becuase with the limited RB we have to use and Vince liking to run the ball a lot on his own maybe we should be looking to get the first kinda of reciever that way if we get a RB running or Vince going off on his own we know there will be people there to block him, not a player like Robert Meachem who is a good reciever but not a good blocker, so what do you guys think, good catcher-bad blocker or average catcher-good blocker?

Re: Titans New Recievers??

Im gonna go with good-catcher. Vince is strong and quick enough to not need a great blocker. We do however need a wr who can catch his long passes. I think a lot of people still believe that he can only scramble but not throw that great. Which would be false he's improved his pasing tremendously. Our problem last season, well one of them, was he was scrambling great and throwing great but not so many catches by our receiving corps...

Re: Titans New Recievers??

i think we should get a good catching reciever with not so good blocking ability.but just for the record j.gage according to j.fisher is a good blocking reciever and so is d.givens.but to be trully honest i would like brandon jones to start next year.he is a tall reciever who can go up and get VY's high passes he can catch anything coming his way and he is a deep threat doe to his size and speed.
