Re: harrington to the titans?

i think the problem with a player like Harrington is that he is not one of the best QB's in the NFL, he has his moments of greatness but overall hes pretty average and what concerns me most about signing a player like his is when you see how much he has been bounced around so many teams without really accomplishing anything at any of them, but i suppose the same could be said for Kerry Collins as well

I think harrington would be a better back up than the older kerry collins..

Re: harrington to the titans?

ok question, for a backup QB, should we get a pocket QB or a scrambelling QB? i mean we obviously know Vince is the latter, but you look at Seattle and when Seneca Wallace came in, teams didnt know how to deal with him becuase they had prepared for a pocket QB like Hasslebeck and were thrown out of whack when they came up against a scrambler, so should we not get a good pocket QB instead of another scrambler?

it shouldnt matter what type of qb we get as long as they can step up and get the job done.

Re: harrington to the titans?

now that David Carr is on the trading block what would you guys think about having him as our backup QB? he hasnt performed that badly in Houston concidering he has no offensive line to proctect him, pretty poor receivers and pretty poor running backs...hes done pretty good right? so how about dropping Kerry 'im already on my third hip' Collins to 3rd QB so he can inpart his wisdom from way in the back and get Carr as our backup?

Carr is definitely better than Collins, and is a better QB than Harrington as well. Problem is, I don't think Houston will let him go cheap... and I think more likely he'll be acquired by a team that will give him a chance to compete for the starting job.

Re: harrington to the titans?

yeah most likely i mean i wouldnt be suprised to see him go somewhere like Oakland or Tampa Bay where they are expecting to bring in a new QB or are still starting with a dodgy one, but i would like to see him come to us and atleast we can breathe a sigh of relief that we have a reliable backup QB

Re: harrington to the titans?

ok now that David Carr is a free agent and with no restrictions to the Texans since they decided to waive him...what would you guys think about picking him up? good potential backup QB?

Re: harrington to the titans?

I think he would be a great backup but we wont get him, he's coming from a starting role and he's looking to compete for a starting role elsewhere, since he's not even on the same page as vince, he'll likely go to qb needy team..

Good potential starter. I wish the Jets would pick him up. I think he has a ton of upside. Cleveland might be the perfect place for him.
