according to the tennessean ryan fowler's agent has said that fowler could sign the deal with the titans or the eagles as early as this morning. but its still a 50/50% chance between the two.

Restricted free agent linebacker Ryan Fowler, who visited last week with the Tennessee Titans, agreed to a four-year, $10.5 million offer sheet with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

"Tennessee was very competitive with Philadelphia. The offers were identical," agent Alan Herman said. "But in the end, Ryan decided to go to Philadelphia, because he thought that would be a better situation for him."

The Titans had wanted Fowler to come in and compete with Stephen Tulloch for the starting middle linebacker position.

Fowler had been an undrafted free agent backup with the Dallas Cowboys, who have seven days to match the offer sheet or surrender Fowler to the Eagles.

its starting to get old.there has to be one player out there who wants to play for th titans.

to be honest titans#1 from what we know every possible free agent in the league could want to come to Tennessee but when we have some 'questionable' front office personel who dont wanna offer big name players the green to come to the Titans then what can we do, i mean you look at Stalworth, he visited New England first and got an offer while he was there, but he still came and visited Tennessee and we could have snatched him away from the Pats if we gave him a good looking contract, we obviously didnt and have lost out on a good speed WR which is something we could really use when we have a speedy QB like Young and some good catching TE like Troupe who can cover the catches up to 10 yards, but once again our front room staff has let us down

well judging from the looks of things we may be in line to pick up fowler since we have offered him a contract that the cowboys can either match or decline within a weeks time, obviously it would be 'ok' to pick up a free agent but do we really need another linebacker? i mean Reinfeldt is trying to justify persuing this player by saying he can compete for the middle linebacker position? do we really need another linebacker right now? this is just another unusual move by an unusual GM in my opinion
