hhhmmmm so more interesting Pacman related developments the thing about this situation is what way do we go...do we go the way of thinking of this is just another Pacman mess up?...do we go the way of thinking why would he cover this up he is a pro football player it was bound to come up at some point?...or do we go the way of thinking, hang on a minute, the Titans are a Pro football team, how can they not know that one of their most well known bad apple players, who has been involved in more trouble than any other player in the entire teams history, go arrested TWICE!...something just doesnt add up with the latter situation

This makes Fisher look bad. I understand that you can't shadow these guys and be there all the time, but not even knowing that one of your problem players got himself arrested, not once but twice, like this is unforgivable. The problem is, while I write this I'm trying to think of something Fisher could have done differently to keep tabs on Pacman, and nothing's immediately coming to mind. The whole situation feels like someone dropped the ball, but I can't pinpoint exactly how or where.

Re: Titans were unaware of Jones' arrests in Georgia

i see your point i mean while the players are not on the practice field or on the playing field you cant keep an eye on them 24/7 unless you have someone follow them, lock them in a room (potential idea for Pacman next season maybe?) or have any one of those tags put on his ankle so you know where he is all the time, its difficult to do especially with an unpredictable guy like Pacman becuase you dont know what hes going to do next, but in my opinion i dont think this is Coach Fishers dropped ball i think this is someone elses and he is having to take the rap for it becuase in a franchise like an NFL team im pretty sure its not the Head Coaches job to look after the players off the field, but i dont know

I don't see how anybody other than Jones can be blamed for this mess. It should have been his responsibility to disclose to the team that he was going to embarrass them yet again. Coach Fisher has more important things to do in the off season than scour arrest reports to see if any of his players were up to no good.

Re: Titans were unaware of Jones' arrests in Georgia

I'm with azrael on this one, how can Fisher know if one of his players gets busted in Georgia unless someone informs him? But this does look like the stake in the heart of Pac Man's Titans career. And perhaps his NFL career for the time being. The NFL's policy is clear and he violated it so he's looking at a suspension for sure from the NFL. Then whether the Titans dismiss him from the team or not, that will be interesting to see. I hope they take the Sacramento Kings route and just kick him off the team.

Re: Titans were unaware of Jones' arrests in Georgia

Maybe Fisher can't keep tabs on his players directly, but considering the size of most NFL staffs these days, isn't there SOMEONE who's job it is to keep tabs on players who have had behavoral problems or arrests in the past? Keep their nose clean? If nothing else, other players who keep an eye on and out for the guy? If there isn't, considering Jones, Tank Johnson and the Bengals troubles this season, there should be.

You'd think he'd use one of his two phone calls to call the coach...

No Gotham, you're thinking of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"

Pacman can only Peek, Copy or Save....

I mean, he is playing "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" right? Too bad he keeps making the 5th graders look smart.
