Re: Chris Brown to Titans?

i've been traveling alot & not been able to keep up as much as I wanted. Was the Travis Henry release becasue of a big salary cap hit or something else? Sure seemed like we should have made sure to keep him.

Re: Great News... Chris Brown to Titans?

well from what i heard apparently Henry was on his last chance wit the NFL for repeated drug abuse and one more conviction for it and he would have been out for the season. the story that everyone is being told is that we didnt want to give him the $8.3million bonus salary or something like that and thats why we had to let him go. so i dont know what story to believe but what ever happened it most have been something big, why else would a team cut their best RB since Eddie George especially as we have one of the healthiest salary caps in the NFL at the moment and could have definatly re signed him

Re: Great News... Chris Brown to Titans?

Our brilliant new gm:

"I think we wanted Travis back and there was a value we thought it was, and we probably went beyond that. Unfortunately it didn't work out,'' Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said. "I was kind of surprised by (the money he got), but I think you have 32 different teams and everyone looks at the world differently. And we just thought that $12 million guaranteed was not appropriate in this particular case.''

Travis Henry:

"Floyd was always my guy,'' Henry said. "He's the reason I was there. I don't want to speak for Reinfeldt, but Floyd wouldn't have let me go."

Re: Great News... Chris Brown to Titans?

Once again another reason to instil confidence in our new GM...lets see what his next move is becuase for his sake it had better be a good one since releasing bennett and henry and resigning Collins isnt exactly winning him many fans
