Re: Titans re-sign QB Collins

the thing i find most unusual about this EXTREMELY unusual situation is that when asked to comment on resigning Collins Reindfelt said "hes a veteran guy with a lot of expreience that when called upon can come in and win a game" im sorry are we talking about the same Kerry Collins who gave us an 0-5 start and thus questionably prevented us from making the playoffs last season i just really hope we sign a good player before the season begins becuase i will be dammed if we are gonna go another season with our only back up being Collins, i mean we even had the salary cap to go out and get a pretty decent backup QB in the free agency window, but have we done that yet...NO!

As a backup, I think he's fine. Who would you rather have?

Re: Titans re-sign QB Collins

if i could choose a backup, someone like Seneca Wallace who could be a starter for a mediocre team but come in and take over as a starter if he has to, i just dont think that if GOD FORBID! something happened to Vince i would be comfortable with him coming into the team and leading it, i think when you have a scrambelling QB you cant have an old, pocket backup becuase it disrupts the team so much, so i would like to have a versatile, maybe 3rd or fourth year QB

Re: Titans re-sign QB Collins

yeah and hes having a hell of a good time, he was tired of being a third string QB so chose to move to San Diego to be a second string QB and warm the bench for the whole season taking all of 3 snaps...great move bill

Re: Titans re-sign QB Collins

the way i look at it is that hopefully Vince will never get injured and we wont have to think about the option of bringing Collins in, i mean look at Peyton Manning, he has gone on from one season to the next without getting any major injuries, i mean off the top of my head i dont even no who Indi's backup QB is so maybe we wont have to think about the option of Collins coming in and if Vince has learned anything from his 'Pop' (Steve McNair) maybe he will just play through the pain anyway

p.s for those of you who dont know who Indi's backup QB is ive saved you some time and checked myself...its the GREAT Jim Sorgi
