1,211 yards and seven touchdowns, gone, just like that. Off to Denver and likely to sign with the Broncos.

So who shoulders the load in the Titans running game now that Henry has been released? LenDale White, perhaps?

Re: Titans cut RB Travis Henry

so with Henry gone and also Bennett going to the Rams does this mean that the fate of the team does rest on Vince Young's shoulders? i mean before he had a backup plan in handing it off to a reliable big play RB like Henry but now Vince has the option to hand off to an unproved and thus unreliable RB in White and a relatively young reciever core...i dont know about this one guys, with these moves im not sure about the playoffs next year

Titans cut Henry
So exactly what is the freakin point of having a balloon bonus of that nature?...I never get it...no one ever collects on it. Move over Dillion on the All-Release Team.

titans are not in bad shape just yet we can still get joe horn to replace drew bennett, lendale white can be a good runningback, and if we do end up getting kevin carter that can improve our run D,pacman isnt off the team yet so if he stays and we draft a CB in the first round that could improve our secondary, and if we use our second round on a WR we can have solid WR line-up.so we shouldnt get worried YET.

titans#1 i love your optimism lol i mean i can see where your coming from it just seems like a lot to ask, i personally think this move to get rid of Bennett means we will definatly be going for a WR in the first round, second will be someone for our secondary, third might be a QB and forth might be a lineman, in terms of cutting Henry its an unusal one because at the moment all we have left is White and he didnt play enough last season to give me any kind of optamism that he can be the starting RB in this team, saying that maybe this is the Titans way of showing that we dont need a RB becuase Vince will be our running man

Anyone on your wish list besides Johnson?

Re: Titans cut RB Travis Henry

no one in particular no, only becuase of the draft pick we have, it was easy last year to say that no matter what we would have had a chance to go for Leinart, Young, Cutler, Bush, Williams, Hawk etc... becuase we were number 3, but picking so high this year means we could be left with anyone and besides Johnson there isnt that much talk about any other recievers so who knows

All the more reason to sign Horn.

Re: Titans cut RB Travis Henry

i know, im not against signing Horn, i mean i think we definatly need a veteran reciever and Givens isnt doing the job, i expect us to take a WR in the first round and i wouldnt be suprised if we take another one very late on in the draft or during training camp, but there are few rookie recievers that come in and play excellent without the help of veterans to help them along the way and we dont have veterans that can do that, we dont have a veteran QB, WR, TE, RB, we have veteran lineman but i dont think they can help WR's

Re: Titans cut RB Travis Henry

Letting drew bennett go was not good, now with henry likely to sign with denver, im not so sure what there plan is. Vince is awesome but he cant win us every game. What happened to all the extra money were supposed to have? I thought we already did the whole "let everyone go to save money" routine the year before last...I dont know what there waiting for but they need to start signing some players before they are all signed..

Re: Titans cut RB Travis Henry

i no exactly what you mean vincesantiy, everyone was excited about next year because we had loads of money to spend and we had a good team to build with, and now we go and loose 2 of our most influential play makers becuase of money doesnt make sense, im just worried that this new GM that has come in that everyone was so excited about has screwed us over already and hes only been here a few weeks, those 2 moves just dont instill a lot of confidence in that guy

Re: Titans cut RB Travis Henry

It just doesnt make sense Bennett was our top wr last year, who knows if givens will be ready this season, i hope he is, but even with givens were still hurting at wr. I think wade is on the market as well. I think the titans thought we will let henry test the market and nobody will be interested and we can sign him back for cheap, newsflash hes now on top of denvers want list since they let there rb go. We had the money to re sign why we didnt i dunno. I hope they sign horn, hes not longterm but can be an immediate help. I two hope reinfeldt isnt screwing us over. I know hes got a lot of hype but I question his latest moves...

Re: Titans cut RB Travis Henry

i no what you mean, our top 3 recievers were Bennett and 2 TE's...so why get rid of your top reciever especially when you have the money to keep him, its not like we have 4 great recievers and he is expendable, we have 5 unexpreienced recievers and most likely 2 or more rookies coming in, to be honesnt this is all a flash back to a few season ago when we BEGAN this so called transition period, we have a great QB for the future but now we need to start again with our recievers, we have a good line and some capable TE but no RB or WR, im getting concerned about Reinfeldt becuase getting rid of Bennett on his own is understadable sure...but getting rid of Bennett AND Henry is just confusing especially when Vince needs all the weapons at his disposal for next season. but with a big salary cap like we have im confused as to why these moves have been made

and your right vincesantiy Wade is a free agent and from what i can see the Titans have made no approaches to resigning him yet which means he may end up being a bench warmer somewhere else or we will pick him up again towards the end of free agency or before the beginning of the season
