Re: Worst Time for Pacman to get into trouble

now i remember reading this story a little while back about ex Pro football players who had to sell of their posessions and rings and memorabilia just to pay the bills, and yet we have Pacman throwing away (literally) $81,000 to strippers, has this what football has become? the great players from the past who used to play for the love of the game and not the big fat pay cheque are having to sell all their wordly possessions to pay the gas bill, while spoilt second year players like Pacman are splurging probably a days salary on strippers...what has the game become??

Re: Worst Time for Pacman to get into trouble

Is Pacman the typical NFL player today? Thankfully, no. Hopefully. I mean, the day when a punk like this becomes the status quo is the day I stop watching professional football. Fortunately, though, you still hear all these wonderful stories of guys giving back to their communities and supporting charities with their excess money. Clowns like this don't belong in the NFL. The Titans need to cut his arse so he can go hang out with the other bums who wasted their God-given talents like this, people like Lawrence Phillips.

Re: Worst Time for Pacman to get into trouble

I don't think it's fair to lump all of today's NFL players in with the likes of Adam Jones. He's obviously still a kid who hasn't matured or realized the opportunities that are still available to him. One of these days, he's going to find himself in a situation worse than anything he's already been in. In a scared straight kinda way, with how a pro career can be taken away at any second, why risk it by hanging out with the wrong crowd and such. I hope I'm not on a soapbox if you know what I mean.

Ray Lewis is a great example. Back when he was younger, he got into all that trouble at the night club. Can't remember exactly but a homicide was involved and one of his "friends" at the time might have been involved. That one incident seemed to scare him straight, and I can't remember the last time I've heard Lewis' name attached to an off-the-field incident. The thing is, Lewis learned his lesson. With Jones, not to mention the majority of the Bengals roster and select others, they just keep seem to be repeating the same mistakes. Those guys have a lesson to learn, and they should be booted out of pro football under they can control themselves.
