The Titans signed David Givens today to a multi-year contract. Exact figures aren't known at this point.

They need as much help as they can get so two good signings (Thornton and Givens) is nice to see.

yeah i know its amazing thornton will be a good compliment to bulluck with sirmon being unreliable and givens will be a beast as our number 2. also, with brees goin to the saints, we have a great chance of getting leinart. as much as i hate him (im a notre dame fan ) but he really is a good player and with norm chow he has the potential to be great

I saw him on the news today at noon, I'm honestly surprised at the 2 quality pickups that the Titans have made here. Maybe 2006 won't be as pitiful as 2006 for us Titan fans.

Givens, Thorton and now Kevin Mawae? Good moves. You think there'll be any conflict over which QB the Titans want in the draft? I mean, Chow's got to want Leinart, but aren't McNair and Vince Young real close?

Yep, McNair & Young have been close for several years. I've read several stories in the Nashville newspapers about how they relate to each other on several levels and have spent much time together.

But I'll be happy with pretty much any of the 3 best quarterbacks in the draft.
