| Alex's Post Game Analysis vs Pats well we kinda went out fighting yesterday but poor play, poor decisions and a ridiculously disrespectful play from the Pats resulted in us playing one of the worst games of the season so far. statistically we did pretty well and we posted up numbers that not only were better than those in some of our winning games but would have beaten most teams this season. but generally poor play all round meant that we were always going to loose. what is most frustrating about yesterday isnt so much that every scenario for us to go into the playoffs went our way and the only situation we had to deal with went wrong, but it was the play by the Pats. they played out of their skins to win this game and for what? to go up one place in the playoffs? they played their first team up until the last 5 minutes of the game and Bill 'i should be arrested IMMEDIATELY by the fashion police' Belichek was quoted as saying "we will rotate our LB and DB's all game to keep VY from running" i mean come on what the hell is that about! hes going to tire out his defense just to keep us from letting our QB run? i think that the Pats played totally wrong and i have lost all respect for that franchise now, i once had a fondness for them but now i wouldnt give them water in the desert. of course its easy to blame the pats but we didnt help ourselves either, our stats were good but we generally played very poor. Vince showed signs that if you put to much pressure on him he will crumble and i guess we just asked to much for him in the end. the run game never seemed to get going. the defense had HUGE numbers but didnt seem to be able to stop a half speed Corey Dillon which is a bit of a concern and our Wideouts caught some passes but seemed to drop those that really mattered. it was all in all a very mediocre game for our Titans Alex's Awards for the Game Game MVP: no one in my opinion, no one played so well that they deserve this award the only person who comes close is Pacman for giving us some hope with his return Offensive MVP: spilt between Bobby Wade who had some great catches, VY who played well and made some good plays, Travis Henry who got good number but never got going and Drew Bennett who made some but not all of the catches thrown at him Defensive MVP: Lamont Thompson, once again an unsung hero played his heart out till the end and Corteland Finnegan who had 3 BIG tackles and of course VY his dangerous, illegal face mask tackle after he threw the pick Leave Him Out Of The Game: Jacob Bell who had some ridiculous penalties, possibly a case for VY, the D line and linebacks who couldnt stop the run Team Rating: C and thats being generous because they didnt seem like the team we have been watching the past few weeks Opponent Rating: F, simple as that, a disgraceful performance and played out of their skins for no reason other than to gain a little more Coach Rating: a B i guess becuase they didnt seem to find any weak spots on the Pats defense or offense to exploit but the players didnt help them on the field anyway coming soon...my summary of the season, end of season awards and end of season report...

| Re: Alex's Post Game Analysis vs Pats i didnt expect them to lay down and die but when you are already in the playoffs and go out and destroy a team who is trying to get there simple because you want to keep up your momentum, im sorry but i dont agree with that i think its totally unfair. im all for teams earning the right to be in the playoffs and ill be the first to say that we played poor yesterday but i simply dont agree with the mentality the Pats had going into the game, knowing they were in the playoffs but wanting to simply maintain momentum so going out and trying to beat us, why not put in your reserves earlier in the game? or having some fun? why try and play as if its the Super Bowl? |

ill be the 1st to say 'dont blame me if your team sucks' ......... but i think you didnt see the same game i saw, obviously we're on different sides but still it does seem like you would only have been happy if the Pats had handed the Titans the game you act like the score was 60-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.......check the box score, it was 26-23 at the end of the 3rd quarter ESPN.com - NFL - Boxscore that is for sure not a locked up win by any means now, as far as you seeming to think the Pats ran up the score........Vinny freakin' Testaverde threw a TD pass for the last score........thats right, your Titans D allowed a 93 year old man to throw a touchdown.......sure, it's easy to blame the Pats cause your D couldnt stop a man with a walker from throwing a couple passes

| Re: Alex's Post Game Analysis vs Pats ok once again people are not seeming to understand what im saying. i didnt suggest that the Pats should have handed us the game, they played their game but not at half pace like you would expect a team going into the playoffs, but at full throttle just to go one place up in the playoffs and play a slightly easier team, i dont agree with the starters being used right up until the third quater either or old Billy Boy commenting on how he wanted to shut down VY by having his defense on constant rotation, im just saying i dont like the fact that they went out all guns blazzing for no reason other other than to go ONE place up in the playoff standings. and im not excusing our defense, i dont think we played well at all, ive even said that our entire team didnt play well and yes we should have stopped Vinny 'im on my 19th hip replacement' Testeverdy because he was never going to come in and hand off the ball he was always going to pass it so why didnt we stop him, ive never once said that our team can be excused from the performance we had because we played terrible |
