The biggest reason for Tennessee's turnaround is the performance of rookie quarterback Vince Young. It's not a surprise when the first quarterback taken in the draft is playing well and establishing himself in a leadership position. The surprise is that Young has developed so quickly... Young is the biggest star on the Tennessee offense, but he's not the only young player with growth ahead of him. Six of 11 offensive starters are either rookie or second-year players. That ties into the biggest reason for the Titans' turnaround: While the Titans had poor drafts in 2003 and 2004, they've had excellent drafts in the last two years.

According to this, the 2005 draft netted Pac-Man Jones, CB Reynaldo Hill, OTs Michael Roos and David Stewart, WR Brandon Jones and TE Bo Scafie. In 2006, the team added Young and LB Stephen Tulloch. So was it smart drafting more than anything else that has the Titans still challenging for a playoff spot in Week 17?

ive always said that providing we keep they guys we have at the moment, or as many as possible the draft should go ok depending on who we get in, for example i believe we need another WR and some height in our defensive backfield and we should be set for the playoffs but while we are still contending for a playoff place in week17 that means we are going to slip out of the top 10, but in any case i think we have a good team with the players we have at the moment, its just about keep those right now and picking up a WR, a tall DB and most definatly a backup QB late in the draft
