| Titans looking to make history NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans are so close to making NFL history. No team has ever started 0-5 and earned a playoff berth. Sure, the Titans must beat the New England Patriots on Sunday in the regular season finale, combined with losses by Cincinnati, Jacksonville and Denver. Too much to overcome? In this season, maybe not. A playoff berth after starting 2-7 doesn't seem ridiculous when compared to some of the amazing wins in the Titans' six-game winning streak. The once unthinkable not only seems possible but, oddly, almost likely. And a franchise that hasn't been able to even think playoffs since its last berth in 2003 is enjoying the moment. | Re: Titans looking to make history do you know what i can see happening? we beat New England, hopefully, and yet we still dont get the playoff spot because of everyone elses wins or losses or whatever they have to do to prevent us from getting the playoff place, but hey fingers crossed, lets just see what we can do. the only thing im going to be dissapointed about is that if we dont make the wild card place there will be no written evidence to show how great this season really was for us and it will just go down as another season when we didnt make the playoffs i mean i know from expereince being 18...19 tomorrow by the way  ...that the Titans could have played like this for several seasons before i was born but i didnt no about it becuase they may not have got into the playoffs and thus people jsut chose to forget about it, i just dont want this season to become another forgotten memory to fans and the next generation
