Ex-Saints quarterback Adrian McPherson is suing the Tennessee Titans because their mascot hit him with a golf cart before the second half of an August exhibition. McPherson filed his civil lawsuit Friday in Davidson County Circuit Court and also is seeking $5 million in compensatory damages for the Titans' negligence and $15 million in punitive damages.

He may have a case especially if he can convince somebody that his being cut was because of his injury. I don't know about the whole settlement, but maybe was he would have earned that year.

This has to be a joke. He's suing for $15 million in punitive damages? I don't see how any judge can rightfully award that kind of settlement in this case.

I do say it will get settled out of court, unless the Titans think there's no case to be had.

Trust me, if the guy has injuries and a thick medical file, he has a case. I was sued:

I was backing out of my driveway, a 68 year old man comes down my street on a motorcycle and fell 60 feet before he got near my house. He fell at my neighbors house. Besides I was only in the street a few feet - on my side so he could have even driven right by me or just stopped his bike.

But he panicked, skidded, fell, broke his leg and I got sued for 1 million dollars because of "proximate cause," --In other words,there argument was because I was in the street he fell.

So what I thought for sure was a pretty frivelous lawsuit, the insurance compony settled for 250K. (after 5 years).

Because of all the nit wits who serve on juries, the insurance company thought that was the safest way to go.

yeah the reason why McPherson got cut was becuase T Rac injured him ha ha this would be a hilarious case if it goes through i mean what McPhersons case going to be? i was knocked over by a mascot in a golf cart, gimmie some money, fair enough you feel for the guy becuase he was a thrid string QB, was never likely to play this season because the saints are doing so well but for those reasons he cant cry and blame others for the fact he got cut, it probably would have happened in the offseason anyway.

i think this should be settled out of court and we should just give him the remaining seasons wages and thats it

they were tlaking about this on nfl live on espn. I guess when the injury occured trac was breaking the rules he is suppose to either stay 6 feet away from players while on a vehicle or 6 feet from field im not sure which but either way they all agreed this case isnt a joke and that he really does have a case

well from what i rememeber form when the incident occured it was that McPherson was practicing during half time when T Rac was going round doing some halftime entertainment throwing out presents to the fans and they collided when McPherson was either going in or out of the tunnel, now i dont know about you guys but when i see a giant...what ever the hell T rac is supposed to be...driving a golf cart and coming my way, i would normally get the hell out of the way ha ha

but i dont see how people cant see the funny side of this, yeah its terrible that he got injured and cut blah blah blah but did he have the capability to have a cinderella season and become MVP in the super bowl? i dont think so, so lets give him this years wages and be done with it so we can all sit back in a season or 2 and laugh that T Rac is the only mascot in the league with a sack under his belt
