NEW YORK (Ticker) - Reggie Bush has been rewarded for delivering the finest performance of his young career.
Bush on Wednesday was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week while fellow rookie DeMeco Ryans earned the AFC Defensive Player of the Week honor. Chicago Bears rookie return specialist Devin Hester was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season. Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard, Atlanta Falcons safety Lawyer Milloy and Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas also were honored for their efforts in Week 13.

Got to say, I have followed both Bush and Hector this year...in part because of my Fantasy league connections...and these guys rock...Hester is the new Dante Hall...and Bush finally got it going with a player of the week award.

Bush may be starting to understand how to play the game at this level. I saw him early in the season. He runs too fast for his blockers. His feet looked like they were going 50mph and his body was only going 20mph. He looked very uncomfortable. Now he seems to be running smooth and waiting for his blockers. I hope he keeps it up.

Yep...he was accelerating to the line...instead of waiting for the hole and accelerating through it...But out on the wing he has 70 plus catches...and is a great weapon for Brees even while he learns to run.
